Baraboo Senior Portrait Session: Clarinda

It isn't everyday that I get a request to have every portrait during a

session to be taken with horses. Horses are massive beings, and even though they are quite sweet and kind, it was still a little overwhelming!

The shoot took place on Clarinda's family farm just west of Baraboo, Wisconsin. We decided that a sunset shoot would be best for the pictures. Clarinda has two horses that she wanted her pictures taken with.

The idea behind the shoot was to capture Clarinda with her horses, but I think we did so much more than that. She is a very sweet girl, with big blue eyes and a wonderful, pretty smile.

I really enjoyed this session because it wasn't just about Clarinda and her portraits. It was about her whole entire self. Both of her parents were there with us, to help with the horses- and to help with the session itself.

There are times when I don't realize the difficulty of the shoot until I am right in it, and this could have been one of those times. However, because of the kindness of the family (horses included) it was a really wonderful evening for a senior portrait photography session!

Thank you Clarinda and family for inviting me into your lives and to photograph your daughter!
