Where to start with this young man? When his mother first contacted me about doing her son Anoops' senior portraits, I knew right away that this wasn't going to be an easy shoot! When she started telling me about his accomplishments, my mind started to race.

"How could I capture all of this is one photo shoot?"

What if this kid becomes the president of our country one day? Or what if he finds a way to clean our oceans and cure hunger and poverty? This is truly what this young man's future looks like. Anoop, you are a wonderful young man, and I had so much fun on our photo shoot together!

According to the Baraboo News Republic, Anoop

is a semifinalist in the 2017 National

Merit Scholarship Program. That means he’s one of 16,000 high school seniors from across the country who scored exceptionally well on last year’s Preliminary SAT. It was an impressive feat, considering he beat out nearly 1.6 million other students from 22,000 high schools nationwide who took the test! See more here: Baraboo News Republic .

Anoop's mother, Vijaya, was set on heading out to Devils Lake to do our shoot. The colors were peaking, and there were no other options for her. We did a quick walk around a few nights before to make sure we had some great spots to shoot at.

Clothing options were discussed and set up a date and time to photograph Anoop.

My good friend Bill Johnsen helped me shoot this senior session.
