Wisconsin Wedding: Marisela and Daniel

Daniel and Marisela have such a unique love story. They grew up in different countries and they had completely different upbringings. They somehow found each other, fell in love and united in marriage. But, the most amazing thing I saw on the day (and night) of their wedding, was how wonderful and kind both sides of the family were. I hesitate to say 'both sides', because it really felt like one. I think that says a lot about love and why I believe in it so much, and why I continue to be humbled and honored to be able to photograph it.
St Mary's church in Portage, Wisconsin is where the couple got married. You can check out information here: http://www.stmaryportage.com/. )I have only shot one wedding inside of a church, and that was my first one 6 years ago!) The wedding was a perfect infusion of both of traditions.
Marisella wanted to originally get married at Durwards Glenn. The couple decided that is where they wanted to go take pictures after the ceremony, so that is where we went. The weather was perfect, the backdrop was perfect.. Everything about Durwards Glenn is really interesting and beautiful, I recommend you checking it out!
Devils Head Resort was the perfect place to have a reception for Marisella and Daniel. It was really nice to have the outdoor and indoor option for guests. The kids got to run around outside until it got dark, and the patio was a nice place for the mariachi band to perform! Just like the wedding, the reception was both Mexican and American (including a cake AND a churros station!)
Thank you so much Marisela and Daniel for choosing Ike and I to be your wedding photographers. We had such a wonderful time taking pictures! Your D.J's were crazy loud and it was so much fun watching everyone get down!!
