Valentine's Day Engagement Photos

Sometimes I have these crazy photo ideas in my head. All winter long I have been obsessing over doing engagement photo ideas at Devils Lake.

My engagement sessions are exclusive to my wedding clients, so the window of opportunity to make this happen was pretty narrow.

Last week, my idea began to take shape when I sat down with Daniel about his upcoming wedding. We pulled this shoot off with just a couple days notice, and I am so so happy to share them with you! I was looking forward to this shoot because of course the couple is young and beauitful and in love. But what really made the afternoon so amazing was hearing their stories about how they met and fell in love.

Marisela is a fiesty young woman who has fighting spirit like no other. Daniel is a kind, patient man who wants to give his fiance the world.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and even though it is just another day I hope that you find sometime to spend with friends and family that you are grateful for.

We are only here for such a short time, make sure that you get to spend some time with your loved ones!

When I photograph couples and weddings, I am reminded all over again about how amazing love is. Tomorrow, I will be spending Valentine's Day with my husband of almost 3 years. As I write this, I am reminded of how it felt when he proposed to me. And how nervous I was on our wedding day. I am extremely grateful to get to wake up to the love of my life everyday.
